The Department of Aeronautical Engineering aims to train engineers in the fields of maintenance and repair of military and civil aircraft, as well as the design and manufacture of new types of aircraft, which the Turkish Aerospace Industry and the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries aims to develop, and to carry out research and application studies on aircraft and aviation.

The opportunities of the department such as the number and qualifications of the academic staff, physical infrastructure and laboratory facilities have been completed, and 62 students for daytime education are admitted to the Department with the quantitative score type of the Field Proficiency Test (AYT). Engineers who will graduate from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering will have the opportunity to be employed in the Undersecretariat of Defense Industries, Turkish Airlines A.O., private airlines, research institutions, universities, TUBITAK, TUSAŞ, TAI, TEI and other organizations related to aviation and space sciences.
