AVIATION MANAGEMENT
Thanks to the large investments made in recent years, the Civil Aviation sector has become competitive with other modes of transportation in both passenger and cargo transportation worldwide. In parallel to this development, there is a significant increase in the number of airlines, ground handling services, airports and other aviation-related institutions and organizations. At this point, companies in the aviation industry, within their own management understanding, need qualified personnel who are well aware of aviation standards and requirements, have sufficient skills in the field of management and organization, can adapt to the dynamics of the aviation industry and have a broad vision. The aim of our Department is to train the qualified personnel needed in line with the demands of the civil aviation sector and the institutions, organizations and authorities in the sector with aviation and management discipline and to make them ready for the sector.Accordingly, our graduates have the opportunity to be employed in all stakeholders of the aviation industry and related industries. A total of 144 students, 72 for daytime education and 72 for evening education, are selected to the Aviation Management Department each year with equal weight score type in the Field Proficiency Test (AYT). Educational activities in our department are carried out by 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 2 lecturers with doctorate, 2 lecturers and 2 research assistant. In addition, when needed, experienced technical personnel from other units of our university and aviation-related institutions and organizations give lectures in our department. Our graduates have the opportunity to work in Turkish Airlines A.O., State Airports Authority, private airline companies, airports, airport ground handling companies, catering and cargo companies and other aviation companies.
